Rhys Taylor, Barrister, Temple Chambers, will provide an analysis of the important recent Court of Appeal case of Imerman v Imerman [2010] EWCA Civ 908. This case has significant implications for ancillary relief cases, effectively overturning the judicial sanction for obtaining and using 'Hildebrand' documents in ancillary relief proceedings
Max Davies, Barrister, Temple Chambers, will speak about maintenance in ancillary relief cases. The law and practice relating to the award of maintenance in typical mid to high value cases can be confusing and this will be an opportunity for you to bring yourself up to speed with all the latest thinking in this regard.
Clive Weir, APMI, Chartered Financial Planner, of Albert Goodman, will address current issues concerning pensions on divorce. Many of you already know Clive who regularly prepares expert pension reports in ancillary relief cases and who has been a guest speaker for Temple Chambers before. He is a nationally recognised expert in the field of pensions on marital breakdown and also sits on the Resolution pension committee.
