Description:
Specialist Criminal Law practitioner.

Called to the Bar by Gray's Inn in July 1975, Meirion Davies undertook his pupillage at Angel Chambers, Swansea. He maintained a mixed practice for a number of years before specialising in Criminal Law in 1989.
A Grade 4 Prosecutor, Meirion has defended in various serious matters including murder, large scale drug importation and VAT fraud.

Cases:
R v Pepperell [2009] EWCA Crim 1327: admissibility of new evidence under section 23(2) Criminal Appeal Act 1968.
R v Bollom [2004] Cr.App.R. 6; (Archbold §19-206): in assessing whether harm is grievous for the purposes of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, account must be taken of the effect on and circumstances of the particular victim.
Operation Corolla (2004/2005): junior alone for a defendant in a large-scale conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin).
