Family and Civil Law practitioner.

Chris McKay was called to the Bar in 1976. Following pupillage with H.H. Judge J.B.S. Diehl Q.C., Chris became a tenant in Angel Chambers, Swansea from May 1977 to May 2002. Chris joined Temple Chambers in May 2002.

Chris McKay is a senior member of the Family Team. He specialises in ancillary relief but also deals with Children Act cases, both private and public law.

His Civil Law practice primarily revolves around boundary and rights of way disputes. Chris also accepts instructions in planning matters, and has extensive experience in all areas of common law civil work.

Thomas v Blaenau Gwent CBC (2004) This case concerned the liability of a Local Authority for personal injuries caused to a tenant by defective premises.
Jamieson v Thomas (1985) reported in Kemp & Kemp on quantum or damages under "serious arm injury".
